National Weather Service

The global NWS design now follows a similar structure.

WxCoder (Web Xmitted Cooperative Observer Data Encoded Report) was designed and introduced to the NWS to utilize the web in collecting weather observations from the volunteer network of Cooperative Observers. What started as a program for the local office is now used nationwide.
